Social Skills- a necessity

Everyone wants instant gratification these days and who could blame them? Why not be able to get results immediatly instead of waiting, but has this idea taken away from the personal connection? Now buyers and sellers can go on line and view all of the homes in the areas they are interested in and even take virtual tours of the homes. Technology is a great tool in every industry, but when it comes down to the time to buy or sell do you research the agent you want to use online? Many agents spend most of their time updating profiles and blogs and sound great on the computer, but when you call them they do not have the social skills to match. Technology is wonderful and I love the fact that buyers and sellers are more aware of what is going on in their neighborhoods or they already know what houses they want to look at, but I also believe that personality, honesty, and knowing how to communicate (not just through e-mail) is very important.
